some inspiration for the truth project

http://www.wikihow.com/Start-a-Conversation-When-You-Have-Nothing-to-Talk-About

http://www.wikihow.com/Meet-New-People-Without-Being-Creepy

also, if you just search things like "how to not be creepy" or "how to start a conversation" you get a huuuge list of other how to's which i find really interesting. what this is basically saying is that there's like a formula to human behaviour and how to succesfully interact with other.  it seems a bit over the top to say it this way, but the way we talk to people really does affect everything. phrasing something one way or another can make the conversation go in completely differant ways.  so the success to human interaction is really just being aware of what you're saying and how you're saying.

also here's the link to read a bit about the book "the game" that i was talking about
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game:_Penetrating_the_Secret_Society_of_Pickup_Artists

step 1 is your appearance, of course.
here's a picture of the guy who wrote the book, Neil Strauss before and after

but of course, appearance isn't everything.
these guys go through complete brain transformations and are taught how to approach women, keep the conversations going and not seem like total creeps in the process.
some men are now paying over a thousand dollars to attend seminars all over with these pick up artist gurus to basically learn formulas.
interesting.

pick six colours

Asked six people to pick 6 colours and then number them 1-5 and assign on of them the letter A.
They did not know what it was for, what order the colours should be in etc.
I asked them to give me the HEX codes.

1.Aj, communications student.
2.Dalal, book keeper.
3.Jeremy, eight year old.
4.Karine, cegep student/photographer.
5.Person I did not know in computer lab.
6.Wesley, design student.

I would like to do more of there and have more of an outline of who I'd ask.. or more variety.

original image, number grid, manual scan and manual resized scan.

i'm taking the concept that the analog and digital process things by reading a series of bumps and grooves, like a record player or a dvd.  and things like records for example are transfered to digital by this same process but into numbers (0s & 1s).
i will attempt to transfer the human body (images) into digital form.  i will play the part of the computer using some kind of sampling method.. but i'm not sure exactly how yet. i have to look into that. i don't know how exactly it will turn out visually, but i think thats the fun part.
